The Music-based Underscore (MbUS) is an adaptation of the Underscore, devised by contact improviser Nancy Stark Smith.
The MbUS is structurally identical to the danced practice and can be seen as a unique process for that takes the improvising musician through a shared preparatory process leading to a collective improvisation.
